Life gets busy. Knitting helps.
If life feels busy and your knitting doesn't always get the time you'd like it to, you're in the right place.
Discover knitting patterns, inspiration and articles celebrating the joy of knitting and why it's about so much more than what we make.

Many knitters don't knit because we need another scarf, shawl or pair of socks. We knit because, somewhere between casting on and casting off, life feels a little different. Our hands are busy, our minds get a chance to slow down and, for a while, the outside world fades into the background.
That's certainly true for me. My weekdays are full and my work can be demanding, so knitting has become one of the ways I pause, recharge and reconnect with my creative side. It's time I never regret making.
That's why I created Nourish Nurture Knit. It's a place to discover knitting patterns, inspiration and ideas that celebrate everything knitting can bring to our lives, not just the finished project.
If you've ever felt better after picking up your needles, you're in good company here.
Whether you're looking for your next knitting project, a little inspiration or simply an excuse to spend more time with your knitting, here are a few places to begin.
Knitting might be a quiet hobby, but it doesn't have to be a lonely one.
Here are two ways to belong to the Nourish Nurture Knit community.
On the second Friday of every month, a friendly group of us meet at The Olde Coach House in Ashby St Ledgers from 10am until 12pm. There's no charge to come along. We simply ask everyone to buy a drink to support our lovely hosts, who make us feel so welcome at our monthly knitting home.
Bring your knitting, a crochet project, some embroidery or whatever you're currently working on. Some people come to make progress on a project, others simply enjoy the company and a good chat.
From time to time it may be necessary to change the date or venue. Please get in touch to let us know you're planning to come along so that we can update you of any temporary changes.
Patterns, inspiration and Knit Nights, without another monthly subscription.
Clare's Knit Club is a different kind of knitting membership. New Club editions arrive throughout the year, each bringing together a collection of four to six knitting patterns, plus access to our online community, live Knit Nights and a few surprise bonuses along the way.
Choose an edition you love and enjoy 90 days in the Club, or choose an Annual or All Access Pass if you want more.
There’s no programme to follow and nothing to catch up on. Come to Knit Night with whatever’s on your needles, explore the patterns that appeal to you and enjoy being part of the Club in whatever way works for you.
Real life isn't the same every day. Your knitting doesn't have to be either.

It's still taking shape, but if you'd like to be among the first to hear when it's ready, I'd love you to join the waitlist. I'll share behind-the-scenes updates, early access and everything you need to know when the time comes.
No pressure. No commitment. Just an invitation to come along for the journey.
Because knitting is more than just making...
Hi, I’m Clare,
Knitting pattern designer and the founder of Nourish Nurture Knit.
For most of the week I work in the world of workplace mental health, but whenever I can, you'll usually find me designing knitting patterns or working on my next cast-on.
Like many knitters, life can get busy.
My days are full, my brain is often full too, and knitting has become the hobby I keep coming back to. It helps me slow my thoughts down, switch off from work and spend time creating something just because I enjoy it.
I'm happiest with knitting needles in my hands, a cup of herbal tea nearby and a project growing one stitch at a time.
